Therapy Led Adaptive Standing and Seated Yoga

Yoga poses to suit your body

There are many benefits to practicing yoga:

  • Connecting with your body and understanding it better
  • Improving your mental well-being, providing some ‘you time’
  • Poses that can promote strength, flexibility and balance

Classes will have a maximum of 6 individuals (a one to one session can be provided as part of your individual therapy treatment).

The NSF (National Service Framework) for long-term conditions promotes the importance of  ‘achieving a sense of wellbeing’ and the need to ‘make long-term psychological adjustments’ when you have had a significant change to your life circumstances.

The MS NICE Guidelines also advocate techniques such as ‘mindfulness’ and ‘stretching exercises such as yoga’ to ‘help ease MS‑related fatigue’.

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”
